    Rocky Roads

You know, LIFE IS GOOD. Each day I hear about those who struggle. Everyone should remember, there may be bumps in the road once in a while, but we should focus and show determination to fill those rutts with the hope for a better time ahead. The way to do that is to take care of situations at hand right way and not let them draw out. There is always a solution to a problem. Today, was a grand day! And the tomorrows, even better! LIFE IS GREAT!                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Author Susan Roederer

Surprises bring...

"Each day brings new surprises."

Waking up each morning saying this and finding the day holds many surprises, fulfilling dreams and eliminating any fears. Help others in fulfilling theirs. You know, if we begin with a positive outlook, we just may wind up with so many of our prayers answered. I love surprises, because they make smiles.

Freedom of Speech

As individuals, we set Opinions.
Opinions are what Discussions make.
Discussions, set the mood for Debates.
Debates are what Politicans make.
Politicans, set path for Freedom of Speech.

And Freedom, is what Individuals, we make.

"Change Your Conduct or Change Your Mind"

I heard this quote the other day in a sermon in Sun City, Florida:

"Change Your Conduct or Change Your Mind".

That impressed me! Don't let egos get in the way of allowing your true inner-self from shining through. If the ultra-ego comes forward, we wind up displaying conduct that is unbecoming of an individual. If we allow those ultra egos to be in the for-front all the time, we might as well change our name. It isn't who we really are.
Be mindful of our actions, for those, are what others look to in knowing you as an individual and how they portray you as an important part of their lives.
Don't wear your troubles on your shoulders for the world to see. Find the good in situations and embark to make the day shine for you.
Keep your name that you were given! Love what you stand for! Allow others to see you and love you too.

Bring the Natural colors inside

When working in Design, I have found over many years, that using a color palette of golds, olives, brown and beige tones compliments most everyone's character. Accent by adding a couple of colors in dark or light hues. After doing so, even after 10 or more years, my clients are still very comfortable with their surroundings, not making any changes to their decor, except when a floor surface wears out.
They always tell me that they feel comfortable. And that is because of the colors used. The natural colors we see outdoors make us feel stable and comfortable. Pale sky blues, earthy browns, natural beiges in textures, olives in the foliage, and golds for the warmth in florals. Only from there, do I add pastels or warm colors to add spice and excitement and to show off our personality.

Luck of the Draw!

Luck of the Draw! It's just that! Don't spend money looking for it. Luck is not found in that manner.

Shopping

While out shopping, you see a piece of clothing on the ground. Pick it up and place it back on the hanger. You never know when you might be rewarded.

The Appreciation, may not be a freebie of clothing. It might just be a Thank You. And a Smile.

Did We Forget?

Be thankful for the things we have, not the things we wished we had.

So much in monetary possessions are promoted in front of us each day, that we easily forget what things are most important:  Love, Faith and Kindness. These of which, guide us through our days, more than any other riches that glitter.

Eggroll

I have now, had the Best Eggroll Ever!
If you ever get to New York, sometime go to East Meets West Chinese takeout at 16130 Cross Bay Boulevard  Jamaica, NY 11414 (or sometimes known as Howard, NY in some searches)
or call for carryout at (718) 323-0600.
My friends and I watched our eggrolls being prepared fresh, not frozen and the wait
was so worth it! I wished I could have taken them home. There is no comparison.
I haven't found that special flavor of eggroll since I returned to the South. Made with
all natural ingredients, and no preservatives.
Kudos to "East Meets West"!

Blind Spots

Drive cautiously and remember it could be YOU in that blind spot. Pay Attention! Also be mindful of those around you.
This pertains in any situation. You don't have to be driving a car. You could be walking down a hall. Be aware of your surroundings. You will move through life better.

Giving to Others:

Make someone feel good. Place a single Gerber Daisy on their desk when they're not looking. Being anonymous doesn't mean you're in love with them. Just means that you care about the outcome of their day.

Spirits

"Spirits" only cloud your judgement. They don't make your day. Change for the better.

Spirits (meaning alcohol). Help others through hurtful days by taking time to talk and visit with them. They will find friendship is more important than a bottle. Friendships last a whole lot longer than liquid.

Keeping your life simple:

If it is in your hands, put it away or throw it away. Don't clutter or hoard.

Keeping up with this practice will make your day and life at home or office run more smoothly.
